From the Publisher's Description:
Do Monday mornings provide a sense of hope, inspiration and purpose to our lives? If not, what are we missing? Could it be we’ve left something behind that has the potential to be truly meaningful? The Sunday Liturgy’s exhortation to “depart in peace” does not mean: “we’re done, let’s go home.” It is a directive to embody what we have received, through our worship as a community and in the Eucharist, and bear witness to it, through words and actions, in the more mundane quarters of our daily life.
In this series of “meditations,” one for every Monday of the year, Fr Steven brings us back, week after week, to the message of the Gospel, reminding us of its enduring relevance in the face of a secular world with which we are so forcefully confronted. He offers us a way to practice mindfulness by opening our workaday to the Divine Reality that is so often relegated to Sunday services. It is that Reality that makes Monday mornings meaningful.
"Fr Kostoff’s meditations trace the pathway, throughout the Orthodox liturgical year, that leads the reader from the goal of 'bringing our minds and hearts back to the reality of God' to our 'becoming more human' through an ever-deepening communion with the God of Love. These marvelously inspirational reflections can enlighten the spiritual journey of anyone who longs to behold the Face of Christ." — Fr John Breck
